There is a possibility if a clipper is jostled in shipment that your clipper can become out of tune. You can reduce the “clatter sound” by adjusting the power screw. The power screw was adjusted for peak efficiency before leaving the factory. However, if the voltage in your home is too high or low the clipper power screw may also need adjustment. We test our clippers for cutting performance with a hygienic fiber. Any fiber you may find on the clipper is not hair, but a result of this process and can be simply wiped off.
